Clinical Overview

Abhyanga is a traditional Ayurvedic therapy involving a synchronized full-body massage using warm, herb-infused oils customized to your body type (Prakriti). The treatment involves sweeping rhythmic strokes that gently stimulate energy channels (Marmas) and trigger detoxification pathways.

Procedure & Guidelines

1. Warm customized herbal oil (like Mahanarayan or sesame oil) is poured over the body.

2. The therapist applies gentle to medium rhythmic circular strokes starting from the limbs towards the heart.

3. Special attention is given to the ears, head, and feet (marma points).

4. The process ends with a gentle herbal steam bath (Swedana) to open pores and absorb the oils.
